What is in common between a small private house in the town of Ungheni and a multi-storeyed communal building in Chisinau, Moldova?
They both took advantage of the Moldovan Residential Energy Efficiency Financing Facility (MoREEFF) providing loans to the residential sector borrowers via the partner banks in Moldova. The loans can be used for energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies applied at homes and apartment blocks to decrease their energy consumption.
The implemented energy efficiency measures decrease the energy consumption and bills, allow families to save money and improve the living conditions.
Listen to the people's life stories and feedback on the benefits of energy efficiency.
This is how the EBRD and MoREEFF support the sustainable financing and implementation of energy efficiency projects by the residential sector. Together, the residential, private, and public sectors can make a change in the energy consumption patterns and contribute to environmental protection.
